Wind EHS Travelling Field Specialist
We are currently seeking a Field Specialist for an exciting position involving on-site work in the field of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). The role is designed for professionals experienced in EHS practices, particularly within the wind energy sector. As a Field Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients and project teams to enhance safety and environmental practices in various industries.
Site Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments and audits to identify potential risks, hazards, and compliance issues related to EHS.
Policy Adherence: Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure adherence to EHS policies and regulations.
Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about local, state, and federal EHS regulations and assist clients in maintaining compliance.
Training and Education: Deliver on-site EHS training to clients, employees, and contractors, emphasizing best practices and fostering a safety culture.
Incident Response: Assist in developing emergency response plans, conduct investigations for incidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of assessments, training, incidents, and recommendations, preparing comprehensive reports for clients and management.
Environmental Advocacy: Encourage sustainable practices, environmental protection, and conservation efforts at client sites.
Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies for risk mitigation and hazard control, focusing on preventing workplace incidents and accidents.
Safety Culture Enhancement: Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all levels of the organization.
Travel Coordination: Efficiently manage travel logistics, schedules, and expenses for assignments requiring on-site presence.
Full GWO Certifications
Climbing Ability: Capable of climbing 300 vertical feet.
Proven Experience: Demonstrated track record in EHS, with specific expertise in wind energy knowledge and safety protocols.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, project teams, and personnel at various locations.
Problem-solving: Critical-thinking abilities to address diverse EHS challenges.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice, to various locations.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in EHS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management.
Driver's License: Valid driver's license and the ability to rent and operate vehicles.
