I'm working with a leading company that is dedicated to advancing innovative solutions in the energy sector. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substation Project Manager to join their dynamic team. If you have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record in managing high-voltage substation projects, this is the position for you.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Substation Project Manager, you will take on a leadership role, leveraging your extensive experience to drive the successful execution of complex high-voltage substation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring project delivery within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership in the planning, execution, and delivery of high-voltage substation projects.
Oversee and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Technical Expertise:
Apply your in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and high-voltage systems to guide the technical aspects of substation projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, maintaining strong communication channels.
Build and nurture relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
Risk Management:
Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimise project disruptions.
Develop contingency plans and solutions to address unforeseen challenges.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout all project phases.
Conduct thorough inspections and assessments to uphold the highest standards of quality.
Resource Optimisation:
Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
Streamline processes for maximum productivity.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management of high-voltage substations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong technical expertise in substation design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
