Process Engineer - Biogas Systems

Position Overview: My client are currently seeking a talented Process Engineer to join there team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, optimization, and operation of biogas production processes. You will work closely with our engineering team to develop efficient and effective biogas systems that maximize energy output while minimizing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize biogas production processes, including feedstock handling, anaerobic digestion, and biogas upgrading.
  • Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for biogas plant design and operation.
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to commissioning and operation.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for biogas production and environmental management.


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the biogas or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of biogas production processes, including anaerobic digestion, gas treatment, and biogas utilization.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, SuperPro Designer) and CAD tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
