Job Title: Lead Validation Engineer

Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands

Job Description:

A leading semiconductor organization located in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is currently seeking a skilled Lead Validation Engineer with expertise in validating analog IP blocks. The organization is specifically interested in candidates with a focus on one of the following: XTAL oscillator, PLL, or AD converter. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess RF knowledge related to transmission lines and digital IO interfaces. The organization welcomes applicants with experience in ASICs or other relevant backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analog IP Block Validation: The Lead Validation Engineer will independently validate analog IP blocks, emphasizing expertise in either XTAL oscillators, PLLs, or AD converters, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.

  2. RF Knowledge: The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in RF principles, particularly in the context of transmission lines and digital IO interfaces, contributing to the successful validation of semiconductor components.

  3. Autonomous Validation: The selected candidate will take ownership of the validation process for the assigned analog IP block, providing technical leadership to the validation team from planning to execution.

  4. Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, test, and product engineering, the Lead Validation Engineer will address and resolve validation challenges.

  5. Documentation: The candidate is expected to generate comprehensive validation plans, reports, and documentation specific to the assigned analog IP block, effectively communicating findings and results to relevant stakeholders.

  6. Problem Solving: The Lead Validation Engineer will troubleshoot and debug validation issues related to the designated analog IP block, collaborating with the design team to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are a plus.

  2. Experience: Proven experience in validating one of the following analog IP blocks: XTAL oscillators, PLLs, or AD converters, preferably in semiconductor or ASIC environments.

  3. Skills:

    • Strong understanding of the designated analog IP block (XTAL oscillator, PLL, or AD converter).
    • RF knowledge with a focus on transmission lines and digital IO interfaces.
    • Familiarity with semiconductor testing methodologies and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Autonomous Validation: The Lead Validation Engineer should demonstrate the ability to independently lead and execute validation tasks for the designated analog IP block.

  5. Team Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

  6. Documentation: Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear and concise reports.
