We're looking for skilled Industrial Air Compressor Technicians to become part of our team in Columbus, OH. If you're an experienced Industrial Air Compressor Technician with expertise in installation, upkeep, repairs, preventive maintenance, and knowledge in refrigeration maintenance, this is a chance to take your career to the next level. Salary: $45,000 - $70,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Location: Columbus, OH

Responsibilities

  • A strong mechanical aptitude must be demonstrable.
  • The ability to read wiring diagrams and familiarity with low voltage electricity/electronics is a definite advantage.
  • Proficient in servicing and repairing piston and rotary screw air compressors.
  • Skilled in servicing and repairing a variety of compressors from different brands, including oil flooded and oil-free types.
  • Capable of servicing and repairing refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.
  • Competent in navigating controllers for multi-brand compressors to gather data for troubleshooting air compressors.
  • Proficient in the installation of new equipment at construction job sites and retrofit projects.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Consistently completes tasks in a self-directed and timely manner.
  • Possesses the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintains positive customer relations while addressing concerns and answering inquiries.

Requirements

  • Requires at least 2-3 years of experience in an air compressor service technician role, focusing on maintenance.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, with a high level of analytical ability needed to address mechanical and electrical technical issues.
  • Essential skills in problem-solving, process analysis, and the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues even in high-pressure situations.
  • Vital ability to read and understand technical information presented in technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, sitting, using hands to handle objects, tools, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to climb ladders, use lifts to work at elevated heights, and safely handle, lift, carry, and maneuver heavy or awkward components weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license with a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Familiarity with job site safety requirements, including the use of a hard hat when necessary, work boots, and safety glasses on all job sites.
  • Proficient in using computers, with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service in all situations.
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
  • Must own and possess a basic working knowledge of hand tools, such as end wrenches, socket sets, amp meters, and multimeters.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
